About SLS SLS was established by Eiji Okuyama, Esq., NY Lawyer and NH CPA, to provide outsourced legal department services to Japanese corporations, US subsidiaries, and entrepreneurs. Prior to founding SLS, Mr. Okuyama was a manager and transfer-pricing specialist at Deloitte & Touche LLP serving Japanese corporations. In a similar capacity at Arthur Andersen LLP, he provided many Japanese subsidiaries with international tax consulting services to aid in compliance with tax laws and to minimize tax examination exposures. His industry knowledge includes, but is not limited to: manufacturing, such as auto parts, pharmaceuticals, machinery, and services such as R&D functions, marketing and trading companies. Mr. Okuyama is also experienced in the intellectual property protection area having previously been employed by a patent law firm where he prosecuted many trademark applications and consulted on licensing agreements. In addition, he has been part of an IPO consulting firm advising clients on “going public” preparation matters such as capital planning, business organization, mid-term planning & budgeting, and drafting of employee manuals and handbooks.
